What MOXO measures
Attention
Responding to the correct stimulus at the correct time; sustaining attention.
Timing
Delayed responses — an indicator of processing speed.
Impulsivity
Responses to incorrect stimuli made without pausing.
Hyperactivity
Unnecessary and repeated key presses; motor restlessness.
What distinguishes MOXO is that measurement takes place with controlled visual and auditory distractors. No child studies in a silent, empty room; the test reproduces realistic conditions in a standardised way.
Procedure
The child version is for ages 6–12 and the adolescent/adult version for 13 and above. The test itself takes about 15–18 minutes, preceded by a parent interview and followed by a written report and a face-to-face feedback meeting.
A test does not make a diagnosis
An ADHD diagnosis is made only by a child and adolescent psychiatrist, using clinical interview and information from multiple sources. MOXO contributes objective data to that process.
